Blood Cleansing Tea Recipe

I like to drink this about about twice a year to cleanse any toxins in my system.  You can use a standard coffee scoop for measuring.
Directions: Fill a 3 quart pot 3/4 full of water. Add 1 scoop (2 tbsp) of each of the following herbs, except for licorice-only add 1/2 scoop of licorice:

Burdock Root (high in iron, purifies the blood)
Dandelion (cleanses the liver)
*Licorice (aids in the healing and restoration of the adrenal glands)          Sarsaparilla (blood purifier)
Sassafras Root (blood cleanser, purifier, diuretic rids the kidneys and bladder of impurities)

Bring to boil, then turn heat to low-medium and simmer for 30 minutes. Pour tea through a wire mesh strainer. Sweeten as desired with Stevia or honey. Drink 1 cup twice a day until used. Store left over tea in refrigerator and reheat on low.

*If you have any of the following conditions, omit the licorice from this recipe: hypertension, liver disorders, edema, severe kidney insufficiency, low blood pressure, heart disease with edema, or congestive heart failure. If you are concerned about any drug-herb interactions, consult your pharmacist, herbalist, or  naturopathic physician.

Note: Use certified USDA organic and non-GMO project verified ingredients when possible.
