This is an easy, 2 step process. First, you make the tumeric paste which gets stored in the refrigerator. It makes enough so that you can enjoy this drink several times. The second part, making the warm milk is easy and quick.
Tumeric Paste Ingredients:
1/4 cup of tumeric powder
1/2 tsp of ground black pepper
1/2 cup of water
Mix all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium high heat until the mixture is thick. Do not walk away from your pan because this mixture thickens very quickly. Do not let mixture boil. When cool, store in a small jar or container in the refrigerator. Keep in mind that tumeric will tint your containers a golden color unless you use glass.
Golden Milk Directions:
1 cup coconut, almond or hemp milk
1 tsp coconut oil
1/4 tsp or more of tumeric paste
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly. Again, do not allow mixture to boil. Heat until warm and coconut oil has dissolved.
Sweeten with Stevia or honey. Enjoy!
